Dr Sudesh Prabhakar retired from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh on 30th April, 2014, after a distinguished service of 42 years. He was Head of the Department of Neurology for 23 years. He has been instrumental in developing the teaching programme in the specialty of Neurology in India. He is interested in patient care as well as research.

Dr. A.N. Jha is a pioneer in getting Intra-Operative MRI technology for brain tumor surgeries in India & holds the expertise to perform tumor surgeries, operated in Brain lab with use of ALA dye for precision of tumor removal & cerebrovascular surgery. As a visionary, Dr. Jha recognized the need and potential of sub-specialization in Neurosurgery. Heading the Neurosciences Institute at Medanta, Dr.

He has a rich experience of 22 years in the field of neurosurgery. He has been trained from an internationally recognized institute, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, Kerala, in 1994 where he was serving as associate professor and senior faculty member. He is well experienced in all kinds of brain surgery.

Dr. (Prof.) P. N. Renjen, graduated from Gandhi Medical College, Osmania University Hyderabad and did his DM Neurology from one of the most prestigious Institutes of the country - The National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore where he received his Neurology training. Dr. Renjen has been actively involved in teaching programmes and was instrumental in starting of the DNB programme at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and subsequently at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi.

He is an ambitious and dynamic visionary. After completing his M.B.B.S (1975) and M.S. (General Surgery) (in 1980) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, he moved over to New Delhi in 1980 to pursue Neuro-Surgery course at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He started his career in 1983, when he completed his super-specialization from Department of Neuro-Surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has since then practiced as a neurosurgeon excelling in his field.
