After gaining surgical experience for five years (General Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology in PGIMER Chandigarh), three years exclusively in Gastrointestinal Surgery and Liver Transplantation at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and 1 year Liver Transplant fellowship in Medanta The Medicity, Dr. Thaigarajan is working as a Consultant Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant surgeon in Medanta’s Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine since 2013. As a Consultant Hepatobiliary and Liver transplant surgeon he has performed more than 220 recipient hepatectomies and 190 live donor hepatectomies independently and 15 cadeveric liver retrievals. He has also performed implantation in LDLT and DDLT. Dr. Thaigarajan is proficient in all types of gastrointestinal surgeries.
